wildearth > A master of camouflage, this tawny frogmouth sleeps fairly low in trees during the day, where you could walk right by without ever knowing it. I saw this one in Queensland. Although it looks a bit like an owl, it is not closely related.
wildearth > The largest member of the Kingfisher family, this is the famous laughing bird from Australia. At dusk and dawn they raise a wild chorus that sounds like crazy laughing. It is one of my favorite things about Australia.
